Reading Buddies
The Reading Buddies program pairs elementary school students with older students or adult volunteers to improve literacy skills and foster a love for reading.
Life Skills Small Groups
Social and emotional classes for kids focus on teaching important skills such as empathy, communication, self-regulation, and problem-solving in a supportive environment.
Homework Assistance
Homework assistance refers to the support and guidance given to students to complete their assignments. This can include tutoring, resources, and tips for improving study habits.
Sports and Recreation
After school, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and recreational activities. These can include traditional team sports such as basketball, soccer, and volleyball, as well as individual activities like swimming or dance. Recreation options may include arts and crafts, board games, and Field Trips.
STEM Computer Classes
STEM Classes after school provide students with hands-on experience in programming, coding, and technology. Classes are led by experienced instructors.
Community Partners
The Club partners with local community organizations, such as the Joliet library, Cub Scouts, Girls Scouts, After the Peanut (STEAM), Compudopt and University of Illinois Extension to provide a variety of activities and resources for students to participate in after school hours.
