What are the Boys & Girls Club's hours?

The After School Program operates Monday through Friday during the school year. Program hours begin after school dismissal and end at 6:30 p.m.

Who can attend the After School Program?

The program serves youth in 1st through 12th grade. Space is limited and enrollment is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

How much does it cost?​

The After School Program is $30 per child. The High School Program is free.

 

How do I register my child?​

Parents or guardians must complete the online registration and all required enrollment forms before a child may attend.​

​

Is transportation provided?

Boys & Girls Club of Joliet transportation is available from Farragut Elementary School and Culbertson Elementary School for eligible students.

 

Parents whose children qualify for school district transportation may also request an alternative drop-off location at the Boys & Girls Club through their school district. Qualifying schools: Eisenhower, Woodlawn, Keith, Washington Jr. High, Gompers and Hufford

What time should I pick up my child?

All youth must be picked up by 6:30 p.m. Parents are expected to notify the Club if they will be delayed.

What should my child bring? Youth should bring: A backpack, Homework and school materials, A refillable water bottle​ 

Please label all personal belongings.

Is homework help available?

Yes. The Club offers homework assistance and academic enrichment through Power Hour and Project Learn, providing a quiet environment and staff support to help youth succeed academically.

What activities are offered?

Club members participate in a variety of engaging programs, including: Tutoring, STEM & Computer Science, Arts & Crafts, Sports & Recreation, Leadership & Character Development, Health & Wellness, Social-Emotional Small Groups, Cheer/Dance Team, Field Trips

Are snacks provided?

Yes. A nutritious afternoon snack and supper is provided daily.

What if my child has food allergies or medical needs?

Please inform the Club during registration of any allergies, medical conditions, medications, or special accommodations your child may require. This information helps staff provide a safe environment.

What is the attendance policy?

Youth are expected to attend regularly. Families should notify the Club if their child will be absent.

​

Can my child use a cell phone during Club hours?

To encourage participation and engagement, cell phones should remain put away during program hours unless staff grant permission for a specific reason or there is an emergency.

What are the behavior expectations? Club members are expected to: Treat others with respect. Follow staff directions. Use appropriate language. Respect Club property. Participate positively in programs. Repeated behavior concerns may result in parent conferences, suspension, or loss of membership privileges.

 

Can someone else pick up my child?

Yes, but only individuals listed as authorized contacts on the registration forms may pick up a child. A photo ID may be required.

 

What happens if my child is sick?

Please keep your child home if they are ill. Notify the Club if your child will be absent due to illness.

 

How will I receive important updates?

The Boys & Girls Club communicates with families through: GroupMe, Email, Phone calls, Flyers and newsletters

How can I volunteer or support the Club?

Community members can support the Boys & Girls Club by volunteering, becoming a mentor, donating, sponsoring programs, or attending fundraising events.
